The core massage table accessories are a face cradle and cushion, bolsters, an arm rest shelf, a carry bag for portable tables, fitted sheets and a protective cover. Popular extras include side extenders, table warmers and foam pads. Distributors should bundle high-margin items like bolsters and bags with tables and source sheets and warmers from specialist suppliers.
What massage table accessories does a therapist need?
The essential massage table accessories are a face cradle with a replacement cushion, at least one bolster, an arm rest shelf, fitted sheets, a protective table cover and, for portable tables, a carry bag. Optional extras include side extenders, a table warmer and a foam pad. Together they improve client comfort, hygiene and positioning, and they protect the upholstery so the table lasts longer.
For a distributor, the same list is also a margin plan. Accessories cost little to ship and turn a bare table into a complete massage table and accessories package that sells better online and in store.

Bolsters and cushions
Bolsters are the accessory clients notice first. A round bolster under the ankles in prone position, or under the knees when supine, takes strain off the lower back for many clients.
- The Round Massage Bolster in PU/PVC Leather is the all-round choice, upholstered in PVC leather with PU optional.
- The Half-Round Massage Bolster sits flatter and stays put, which many therapists prefer under ankles.
- The Ergonomic Neck and Knee Bolster has a contoured shape for neck support in supine positions.
A massage table cushion can also mean a wedge or a pregnancy-support set. These are separate products; check their foam density and cover material before buying. For positioning tips and sizes, see our massage bolster guide.
Face cradles and replacement cushions
The face cradle cushion takes more wear than any other part of the table. Oils, cleaning products and daily compression flatten the foam over time. Keeping spares means a therapist can swap the cushion instead of replacing the whole cradle.
The Replacement Face Cradle Cushion uses high-density sponge under PU or PVC leather and packs in a 25 × 25 × 7 cm box at about 0.3 kg, which makes it an easy add-on for e-commerce sellers.
Arm rest shelf and side extenders
An arm rest shelf hangs below the face cradle so the client's arms rest forward rather than dangling. Many of our portable tables ship with one, and our wooden lash bed with a hanging arm rest is designed around it.
Side extenders bolt or slide onto the long sides of the table to add width for larger clients or for arm support in supine positions. Fit depends on the frame, so always ask the supplier whether a given model accepts them before promising them to customers.
Massage table bag and carrying case
For mobile therapists, a massage table bag is not optional. A good massage table travel bag has padded panels, a strong zip, a shoulder strap and handles, and a pocket for the face cradle and legs of the arm shelf. A rigid or semi-rigid massage table carrying case adds protection for frequent air or car travel.
Many of our portable tables include a carry bag, for example the Portable Wooden Massage Table with Carry Case. For OEM orders the bag can carry your logo.
Covers and sheets: what to look for
These are generic categories that we do not supply, but buyers ask about them constantly.
Massage table cover
A massage table cover protects the upholstery between the table and the sheets. A waterproof massage table cover, usually a fitted vinyl or laminated fabric, stops oils and lotions soaking into the seams. It is especially useful on PU upholstery, which feels softer but is less resistant to oils than PVC.
Massage table fitted sheets
Massage table fitted sheets have elastic corners sized for a table, not a bed. Ordinary bed sheets for massage table use rarely fit well: a single bed sheet is too wide and slips. When choosing the best sheets for massage table work, check:
- Size: portable tables are about 185 cm long and 60, 70 or 76 cm wide, so match the sheet to the table width.
- Face hole: a fitted sheet with a face-cradle slot or a separate face cradle cover.
- Fabric: cotton and flannel feel warm; microfibre and polyester blends dry fast and resist wrinkles.
- Laundry: sheets must survive frequent hot washes.
Warmers, pads and other comfort extras
Table warmers and warming pads
A massage table warmer, also sold as a massage table warming pad or table warmer for massage table use, is an electric heating pad that sits under the fitted sheet. A warming blanket for massage table use works similarly but lies on top of the client.
These are electrical products, so buyers should check the electrical safety certification required in their market, use an auto-shut-off model and follow the maker's instructions. A massage table with warmer built in is a different product category; our tables are manual and do not include integrated heating.
Massage table pads and mats
A massage table pad or topper is an extra foam layer, often memory foam, placed on top of the table for clients who prefer a softer feel. It also raises the surface slightly. A massage bed mat is a broader term that can mean a topper, a protective underlay or a floor mat for Thai or shiatsu work. If you want more softness built in, specify a thicker table foam instead of relying on a topper.
Massage accessories wholesale: tips for distributors
- Bundle the high-margin items. Bolsters, face cradle cushions and carry bags pack inside or alongside table cartons and raise order value.
- MOQ: bolsters usually start from 500 pcs per model, with flexible colour mixing.
- Match colours. Upholstery colours can match your tables for a coordinated set.
- Brand it. Logo print or embroidery on bolsters and bags, printed cartons and barcodes.
- Source the rest locally. Sheets, covers and warmers are often cheaper and faster from textile or electrical specialists close to your market.

Frequently asked questions
What accessories come with a portable massage table?
Most portable tables come with an adjustable face cradle, and many also include an arm rest shelf and a carry bag. Bolsters, spare face cradle cushions and covers are usually bought separately or bundled by the distributor.
Do I need a waterproof massage table cover?
It is strongly recommended if you use oils or lotions. A waterproof cover sits under the sheets and stops liquids reaching the upholstery and seams, which helps the table last longer, especially with PU upholstery.
Can I use normal bed sheets on a massage table?
You can, but they rarely fit well. Bed sheets are wider than a 60 to 76 cm table and tend to slip. Fitted massage table sheets with elastic corners and a face hole are easier to use and look more professional.
Are massage table warmers safe?
Warming pads designed for massage tables are generally safe when they carry the electrical certification required in your market, have an auto-shut-off and are used as instructed. Place them under the fitted sheet and never fold them while switched on.
What is the MOQ for wholesale massage accessories from Mars?
Bolsters usually start from 500 pieces per model, with colour mixing possible. Replacement face cradle cushions and other accessories can often be added to table orders. Contact us with your quantities for a combined quote.
